How is data security handled?
Data security is a function of several interrelated capabilities and requirements.
- Data transmission and storage. Data is securely transmitted using Secure Sockets Layer (128-bit SSL) data encryption and stored using Triple DES encryption on 3Delta's central servers
- Client authentication. Login ID and passwords control user access. User passwords may be changed online.
- Appropriate data access. User permissions may be assigned within the supplier organization to limit access to specific product capabilities/features (e.g. no ability to issue credits). In addition, the ability to view or to access data may be selectively established (Le., a user can only view their own transactions vs. a "view-all" capability that may be assigned to a supervisor.
What happens should a server become unavailable?
The solutions operate using fully redundant systems with load balancing capability, Should a server become unavailable, transactions are rerouted to another server with no service impact to the supplier.
Is software necessary?
There is no need to load application software because the product suite is Web-based.
How do 3Delta System charges appear on the Global Payments' merchant statement? (Pertains to Global Direct Merchants only)
